Who exactly is Mr. Brown?
Behind the fictional character Mister Brown is the Braun family from Schillingsfürst, Bavaria, in Middle Franconia. Our story began a good 120 years ago with a small bakery, which has now become a classic family business with a love and understanding of food. When the master baker and founder of Mister-Brown met his wife, who has family roots in South America, his love for exotic seeds, spices and superfoods was awakened.
Today, three generations of Brauns live and work in the company, from seniors to toddlers.
In addition to food, family is very important to us, and so our own children or those of our employees are often involved as happy participants, inspiration, distraction, mascots and people who provide fun.

How do we work at Mr. Brown
Everything starts with shopping! In order to help the environment, we try to work as regionally and sustainably as possible. For this purpose, for example, we started regional cultivation projects with agricultural partners. When it comes to products that we have to source internationally, we try to buy them as directly as possible, i.e. from the farmers themselves. This supports the local farmer and saves having to go through middlemen.

In addition to regionality and sustainability, we also pay attention to quality when purchasing! We only buy goods that have been tested in independent laboratories and can demonstrate good quality.
With our “Bottled in Bavaria” seal, we promise our customers that every product is personally inspected before it is packaged. Through our own bottling we can create regional jobs, respond to customer requests individually and promptly and deliver freshly packaged goods.
In order to close the sustainable chain, shipping is also carried out in Co2 neutral packages and via DHL gogreen.
Nature projects
We give back
In this day and age it is important to think ahead. It is our obligation to ensure the preservation of our nature. Some time ago we invested in a bee meadow in the Allgäu Alps and took over a sponsorship for it.
This meadow is left to nature and is only mown once a year. This means that the insects and wild bees that live there can live undisturbed and collect their supplies for the winter.
In addition to this natural meadow, we lease forest areas in order to reforest them and counteract tree death.
We need you as a customer for this project: “tree points” are collected with every purchase. As soon as 1,500 trees have been collected, the next forest project starts. Our goal is to implement at least one forest project every year.
