Psyllium husks are known to have a wide range of uses. A delicious alternative to traditional semolina porridge is a so-called “fake semolina porridge” with psyllium husks: rich in fiber and protein and also totally delicious. To do this you need the following:
- 300g low-fat quark or Skyr
- 175g cold water or milk
- 4g psyllium husks
- Sweetness of your choice, eg B. xylitol
- Nuts or fresh fruit of your choice
The preparation is more than easy! All you have to do is mix the quark with the water and xylitol, then add the psyllium husks and mix well so that no lumps form. Let the semolina porridge soak for 5 hours or, ideally, overnight.
Garnish with nuts or fresh fruit the next morning and enjoy.
